The Idaho Department of Transportation issued a travel advisory for Highway 55 this weekend.
Those planning to travel on Highway 55 from Horseshoe Bend to McCall this weekend should expect high traffic volumes due to the weather and holidays, June 16 and Father’s Day.

Sunday, ITD places flaggers on Banks-Lowman Road. and the ID-55 intersection to facilitate traffic. Near the intersection, during the hours of 11 am to 5 pm, ITD tells motorists to “anticipate delays.”
“We have been working with our law enforcement and business partners to do our best to handle what we expect to be a lot of vehicles on the freeway this weekend,” the district administrator said. from ITD’s office in southwest Idaho, Caleb Lakey. the press release. “There is a good chance that we will have times when the highway is at full capacity and motorists will experience delays.”
