CITY OF CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro – Tourists who wish to travel to Oriental Mindoro will not need the Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test as long as they are fully vaccinated.
The new travel policy is contained in Executive Decree No.30 issued on July 19 by the governor of Oriental Mindoro Bonz A. Dolor who, in essence, recognizes the vaccination card as an alternative travel requirement to the results of the RT tests. -PCR for all individuals prior to travel and upon arrival at any point of entry into the province.
Governor Dolor said travelers can attach their vaccination cards to their Travel Confirmation Card (TCP) requests which will in turn be verified by the municipal disaster risk reduction office or local health unit.
Vaccinated travelers will simply undergo a health screening procedure at the Port of Calapan or at the province’s other five ports of entry.
A provincial government travel guide says that a person planning to travel to Mindoro is asked to create an account on spas.ph using their cell phone number and fill out all the necessary information in the registration form.
Once registered, a member-individual can log in and verify the destination location and click on “Are you traveling” from the menu and answer all related questions and fill in the TCP information for verification and approval.
Before going to the Port of Batangas or any port of entry en route to Oriental Mindoro, the S-PASS account must be indicated with the word “Approved”.
