The CEB announces a new voluntary flight change policy

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the main Filipino carrier, will implement a new policy for passengers who wish to make voluntary changes to their flights, in line with the ongoing streamlining of processes across the company.

As of July 1, the travel funds option for voluntary flight changes will only be available to passengers who pre-purchased the CEB Flexi add-on during the initial booking, as this new and improved product allows passengers cancel their flights for free, up to two (2) hours before departure, and store the value of the reservation in a travel fund for as little as P499.

The amount of this virtual wallet is valid for 2 years and can be used to book new flights or purchase other options such as seat selection, additional baggage allowance or travel insurance.

Passengers who wish to voluntarily change their bookings without purchasing CEB Flexi can use CEB’s unlimited rebooking option and rebook as many times as they wish up to two hours before the scheduled departure time. CEB has permanently removed change fees since March to give customers the much-needed flexibility during this time.

“We made sure we were nimble to meet the needs of our customers in a fluid situation. It is our commitment to providing safe, affordable and convenient air travel for every Juan in the years to come, and we must ensure that we operate in a sustainable manner. This is why we are announcing this new permanent policy after more than a year of careful evaluation, ”said Candice Iyog, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at Cebu Pacific.

The CEB Flexi product has been made available to offer more flexibility to passengers so that they can travel with peace of mind. It is also in line with the carrier’s commitment to continue to support the industry in its efforts to build the confidence of the traveling public to fly amid changing travel restrictions.

Passengers can also take advantage of the CEB Flexi product as a package via GO Flexi and benefit from free cancellation, checked baggage with a combined weight of up to 20 kilos and a standard seat.

“Have confidence that we will continue to listen to our customers and prioritize their needs as we strive to respond in the best possible way. We have improved our products so that every Juan has access to greater flexibility in addition to the safe and smooth trips guaranteed with CEB, ”added Iyog.

Passengers affected by flight cancellations will continue to benefit from the standard options offered by CEB, namely: unlimited reservation change, reimbursement and travel funds.

CEB operates the largest domestic network in the Philippines covering 32 destinations, in addition to its six international destinations, covering Asia and the Middle East.
