The Town of Kirkland launches a new community cash program | Travel

The Town of Kirkland recently announced the launch of a new promotional program, “You Stay, We Pay”, aimed at increasing the number of visitors to the town and helping local businesses by encouraging customers to shop locally.

The Community Currency Program offers guests who book a two-night stay at participating hotels one hundred dollars in “Kirkland Ca$h” to spend as they wish at included businesses like restaurants, retail stores and others services.

“The Kirkland Ca$h program provides a much-needed boost to our hard-hit hospitality industry and small business economy,” Mayor Penny Sweet said in a statement. “Throughout the pandemic, the Kirkland community has come together time and again to support each other, and the launch of Kirkland Ca$h is the latest example of economic innovation and resilience. It’s a win-win situation for Kirkland, businesses and visitors.

Guests wishing to take advantage of the “You Stay, We Pay” promotion must book their stays at The Heathman, Woodmark Hotel, Courtyard by Marriot Seattle-Kirkland or Motel 6. In order to participate in the promotion, guests must book at least a two night stay by June 30 of this year.

Upon registration, the Kirkland Ca$h certificate will be issued to the customer in digital or printed form. Those with Kirkland Ca$h can then present their certificates to participating businesses as if they were cash.
