United Animal Friends (UAF) is looking for hikers and sponsors for its “Ride for the Dogs” Saturday, October 23 from 10 am to 1 pm on the Peavine Trail in Prescott.

Parking and check-in are free from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Tri-City College Prep, 5522 Side Road in Prescott. The hike will start and end in the school parking lot. The event includes a light outdoor lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the UAF Rescue Ranch, 2600 Heckethorn Road.

Registrants who pay $ 100 on the date of the event ($ 80 in pledges plus $ 20 in registration fees) will receive an event t-shirt and dog tag.

Sponsorships of $ 150, $ 500, $ 750 or $ 1,500 will receive advertising in press releases, social media, beacons and other types of signage during the event, depending on the level of sponsorship. Sponsorship is not limited to businesses, as individuals and families may wish to sponsor “In Honor of… or“ In Memory of… ”a person or pet. Sponsorship fees are due before October 9 and can be paid by check payable to UAF, PO Box 11133, Prescott AZ 86304, or by credit / debit card through the UAF payment portal at the address https://www.unitedanimalfriends.org/contact- us / online payment. Anyone who cannot participate but wishes to make a donation can do so on the site.

Human and canine participants will receive a gift bag and water will be provided on the trail. Hikers can hike the two mile “out and back” portion of the Peavine Trail as much as they want. People without a dog are also welcome to go hiking. Children must be accompanied by an adult 18 years and over.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for the care of dogs and cats awaiting adoption and for the UAF Emergency Medical Program, Sterilization / Spay Certificate Program and Community Bank of pet food.
