The Chamba hill station of Himachal Pradesh is located at an altitude of about 1,006 meters at the confluence of the Ravi River and its tributary, the Sai River.

The nearest airport to Chamba is Kangra Airport in Gaggal which has flights from Chandigarh and Delhi. You can hail a taxi or a bus to get to Chamba from here.
Pathankot station, 120 km from Chamba, is the nearest railhead.
HRTC offers regular bus services from major cities in Punjab, Delhi and Haryana. The bus stop is located in the center of Chamba.
The climate of Chamba is pleasant throughout the year. However, April to June is the best time to visit Chamba.
Unlike its upper neighbors in Himachal, Chamba’s average summer temperature is above 30 degrees Celsius.
The monsoon can be a problematic time for travelers. Extreme rains often trigger landslides and hamper travel plans.
January and February are the coldest here, but there is no snow.
